B. Definitions
Vehicle Services
Repairs, servicing, diagnostics, inspections, and other related mechanical work carried out by independent mobile mechanics arranged through fvmechanics.co.uk.
Booking Policies
Terms relating to booking confirmation fees, cancellations, refunds, and any additional charges. Customers should review these policies carefully before making a booking.
Mobile Mechanic
An independent vehicle repair specialist whose services are advertised or made available via the fvmechanics.co.uk website.
C. Our Role
fvmechanics.co.uk acts solely as an intermediary booking platform, connecting customers with independent mobile mechanics. These mechanics operate independently under their own businesses and are responsible for their own availability, pricing, service delivery, and operations.
Any agreement regarding the scope of work, payment terms, guarantees, parts, workmanship, or disputes is strictly between the customer and the mobile mechanic. This includes any disagreements related to pricing, repairs completed, parts used, or the quality of work.
fvmechanics.co.uk does not intervene in disputes between customers and mechanics and does not issue refunds related to the mechanic’s work or service quality. However, where appropriate, we may provide contact details to help facilitate communication.
Our responsibility is limited to offering a reliable and convenient booking platform. Once the appointment confirmation fee has been paid, the vehicle service is considered to be purchased directly from the independent mobile mechanic, not from fvmechanics.co.uk.
D. Service Information and Limitations
Our website promotes various vehicle repair, diagnostic, maintenance, and inspection services carried out by independent mobile mechanics. While we may provide general descriptions, estimated pricing, and booking assistance, we do not perform these services ourselves.
All mechanics arranged through fvmechanics.co.uk operate as independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of fvmechanics.co.uk and are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and completion of any work performed.
E. Mechanic Availability
We will make every reasonable effort to connect you with a mobile mechanic in your local area. However, if none are available at your preferred time or location, we may arrange for a mechanic from a nearby or alternative area.
F. Booking Policies
Non-Refundable Appointment Confirmation Fees
Once paid, the appointment confirmation fee is non-refundable if the customer cancels the booking.
Failure to Provide a Mechanic
If we are unable to arrange a mechanic or if a confirmed appointment is missed with no attendance, a full refund of the confirmation fee will be provided upon request.
Sharing Your Contact Details
By making a booking, you agree that your contact information may be shared with the assigned mobile mechanic where necessary to facilitate the service.
Cancellations by Us
In situations beyond our control, including mechanic unavailability, we reserve the right to cancel a booking. In such cases, the confirmation fee will be refunded in full.
G. Payments for Vehicle Services
All vehicle services are provided and charged directly by the independent mobile mechanic. Pricing may vary depending on factors including:
- your location
- the make and model of your vehicle
- urgency of the request
- complexity of the repair
- cost and availability of parts
Before any work begins, the customer must confirm directly with the mechanic:
- hourly labour rates
- estimated duration of the job
- any additional costs for parts or materials
